Hijrah 1445: Sen Akanbi Congratulates Nigerians, Prays for Tinubu, Others.
Founder, Coalition Movement for Bola Ahmed Tinubu(COMBAT), Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has greeted Muslim faithful on the commencement and celebration of Hijri Islamic New Year-2023.
The Okanlomo of Ibadan land, Sen. Akanbi while congratulating the faithful, urged Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina which are sacrifice, perseverance, resilience, piety among others.
The Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in the state, Sen. Akanbi encouraged all Muslims to use this new Muharram festive period to pray for the peace, progress and stability of Oyo-State and Nigeria, at large.“I urge all Muslim faithful and Nigerians, generally, to continue to foster love, peace and unity among each other.
”Let’s all shun all acts that are capable of undermining the oneness, unity and progress of Nigeria. Let’s see ourselves as brothers and sisters that have common destiny as we are all members of human race”, Akanbi charged.
“To all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo-State and Nigeria at large, as the Muharram comes again, I’m sending you all my love and prayers. May Allah protect you from every troubles and tribulations. – Happy Islamic New Year 2023!“. He added.
The SWAGA Chieftain, Sen. Akanbi used the avenue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, Chief of Staff(CoS) to Mr President, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamiala and all Nigerian leaders for God’s guidance and protection. He urged Nigerians to support and pray for Mr President, and Nigeria.”Let’s, always, pray for, and support, this current administration; he government has embarked on retooling, reworking and repositioning Nigeria and may God grant our leaders success(Amen)”.
In the Islamic tradition, Hijrah, (Arabic: “Migration” or “Emigration”) also spelled Hejira or Hijra, Latin Hegira, refers to the Prophet Muhammad’s migration (622 ce) from Mecca to Yathrib (Medina).
