Hon Adebowale Adeyoju Keeps Promise, Donates 300 KVA Transformer to Obasa Community in Ibadan North LG.
The Obasa community of Ward 10, Ibadan North Local Government hosted a landmark political event on Thursday as Hon Adebowale Adeyoju, the 2023 All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate for Ibadan North Constituency 2 State Assembly donated a 300 KVA transformer for the use of the community.
Residents of Obasa community had earlier expressed their need of the equipment to Hon Adeyoju in the course of his courtesy visits and familiarisation tours.
In his address at the handing over ceremony, Stevo, as he is fondly called, thanked God for the opportunity he has been given to be of service to the people.”During my courtesy visits and familiarisation tours, the need for a transformer in Obasa community was expressed and I promised to provide it. It brings me joy to be able to do so today”,he stated.
Hon. Adeyoju thereafter handed over the certificate for the transformer to representatives of Obasa community and he commissioned the equipment.
In his response, Pastor Tunde Ogundipe Sanusi speaking for the Obasa community lauded Hon Adeyoju for keeping his promise, “For four to five years, our community had been having electric power supply challenges and we have suffered many disappointments, but Hon Adeyoju has brought us hope”. He concluded by obtaining Hon Adeyoju’s assurance that the transformer will be connected to the national grid and made functional immediately.
Other representatives of the Obasa community at the ceremony are Pastor Ayodele Bolajoko, Pastor Ojo Oludare, Mrs Ayoade, Mr Tunde Obasa and others.
Hon Adeyoju on his part was accompanied by his father, Prince Adeniran Adeyoju, Alh Omilabu Ghandi, Dr Hamzat and Hon Niyi Possible.
The APC Ibadan North was well represented by the presence of leaders: Mrs Adesope and Prince Atunlute; Hon Adekunle Oladeji Omo Bao, the pioneer Executive Chairman Are Latosa LCDA, local government executives including Hon Monsuru Olanrewaju Inukan, Hon Abiodun Omotoso, Mr Wale Maranro, Mrs Egunjobi Funke, Mr Jubril Arozo and others. Ward executives from the six wards making up Ibadan North Constituency 2 were also present. The party appealed to the people of Obasa community to reciprocate and vote all APC candidates, massively.
It is noteworthy to point out that many of the speakers at the ceremony heaped accolades on Hon Adeyoju for his enviable record of commissioning projects before his election.The 300 KVA transformer donation is not his first community intervention. Leading on from his visits and tours of communities in Ibadan North 2 State Constituency, Hon Adeyoju had assisted the Olives community around Bodija market with the installation of security gates and he had constructed a concrete access for the people around Coca Cola area in Ward 7.
