Hon Bimbo Kolade Welcomes PDP Defectors to APC, Rallies Support for President Tinubu’s Reelection Bid
Ex-LG Chairman, Immediate Past Vice Chairman Lead Decampees.
There was a major political shift in Afijio Local Government as top figures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) officially dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Bimbo Kolade, Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) and Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant, received the decampees in a well-attended gathering.
The defectors include a former local government chairman, the immediate past vice chairman, and several loyal PDP members who pledged their allegiance to the APC.
Kolade described the move as a strategic and timely decision that will further strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure in Afijio and across Oyo Central. He assured the new members of unity, cooperation, and equal participation in the affairs of the party.
Kolade rallied support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and dislodging the ruling PDP in Oyo State.
