The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of its Chairman, Chief Isaac Omodewu. The news of his demise was met with shock and disbelief by party members and stakeholders.
Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi Skimeh, Chairman of the House Committee on Agric Colleges and Institutions, in his condolence message described Chief Omodewu’s death as a “rude shock” and a “huge loss” to the party.
Adeyemi praised the late chairman as a “statesman, true democrat, and consummate politician” who worked tirelessly to unite the party and position it as a formidable force in Oyo State.
“Chief Omodewu’s death is particularly felt at this critical time when his wealth of experience and leadership were needed to navigate the party’s challenges”, Skimeh said.
Hon. Skimeh commiserated with the entire APC membership in Oyo State, the family of the deceased, and prayed for God to grant the people the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“The APC family in Oyo State will deeply miss Chief Omodewu’s guidance, wisdom, and leadership. His legacy will continue to inspire and motivate party members to strive for excellence. May his soul rest in peace.” Adeyemi submitted.
