Hon Taofik Aderogba Pays Tribute to Late Oyo APC Chair, Omodewu

Honorable Taofik Adebayo Aderogba, an aspirant in the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-elections, has mourned the passing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Oyo State, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu.

Omodewu, a seasoned politician and dedicated public servant, died on Sunday in the United States where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Aderogba described Omodewu’s demise as a heavy blow and a huge loss to the party, Oyo State, and Nigeria. He hailed Omodewu, who served as a Commissioner in various ministries between 2011 and 2019, as an iconic politician and charismatic leader.

“A big tree has fallen and a big vacuum has surfaced in our Party (APC). Our late chairman was an astute politician and esteemed leader,” Aderogba said in a condolence message.

Aderogba commiserated with Oyo APC faithful, executives, leaders, stakeholders, and the federal government, praying for God to grant Omodewu eternal rest and give his family and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.

Omodewu, 61, was a lawyer from Otu and had been in touch with friends and associates until his passing. His death has left a void in the Oyo State APC and the political landscape of Nigeria.
