How Oloye Adelabu’s Sincerity of Purpose Melted My Heart | By Zakariyah Kenny Jeleel

In my sojourn as a politician, I had always believed that all politicians are birds of a feather, flocking together. However, my perception changed yesterday at the media engagement with the Hon. Minister of Power, Oloye Adelabu Adebayo.
In that session, every doubt about his personality, capacity, the ministry under his watch, and even his political philosophy was conspicuously cleared. I encountered a leader who is genuine, intentional, specific, and remarkably frank about his aspirations.
Some may label him a miser, but no one can erase his giant strides in both the banking and power sectors. His intimidating capacity and sterling profile remain undeniable.

Despite their rumoured and hatred-orientated allegations of miserliness, Adelabu remains a notable philanthropist and generous hand.

From my observation, the Hon. Minister and the Ministry of Power have been unfairly underrated. He has invested everything within his reach to navigate the enormous challenges confronting the sector. Let us remember: failures built up for more than 65 years cannot be corrected overnight. It will take tenacity, intentionality, sacrifice, and painstaking effort to reset the system. Holding him solely responsible for the power sector’s shortcomings, without acknowledging the magnitude of inherited problems, is simply unjust.
I am especially grateful to my blood brother for extending the invitation. It was truly worth my time and effort, as I received firsthand insight from the minister himself. His sincerity melted my heart.
Indeed, Adelabu is truly ready!
