How Oyo State Resources and SUVs Are Helping to Cover Michael Ogunsina’s Incompetence As Oyo PDP PRO | By Sola Abegunde

I read a funny Facebook post by Michael Ogunsina, Oyo PDP spokesperson, where he claimed that Oyo APC is making his job easier because, according to him, they are lazy.
When I read the post, two thoughts crossed my mind.
Like our people used to say, when a sheep begins to frolic around with a dog, it is bound to eat excrement. ( Bi aguntan ba nba aja rin, yoo je igbe).

As a sheep, the Oyo PDP spokesperson have been around the dog of Governor Makinde for too long, one should therefore not be surprised, when he sees Ogunsina filling his mouth with shit.

With due respect to the Governor of Oyo state, half-truths and lies no longer mean anything to him.
Governor Seyi Makinde, with due respect, is also someone, who, many times gets ahead of reasoning when making public comments and if Michael Ogunsina begins to exhibit such traits, no one should be surprised.
It was Governor Seyi Makinde who said that a judgment of the Supreme court of Nigeria has a lacuna!
Isn’t that laughable and reckless?
He also said he was going to devise what he called ‘ a home grown process of complying’ with the said judgment of the Supreme court!!
Can you blame the Governor?
I have seen some funny people claiming that Governor Makinde is justified in making such reckless statements just because the judgment in question is yet to be implemented.
These class of ignorant commentators do not know that it is sacrilegious for any individual to seek to interpret the judgment of a court to suit his ego.
If you seek clarifications about the judgment of a court, you will have to approach the same court for the clarifications, not that you will sit in a corner and form opinions about a court judgment.
Sometimes ago, Governor Seyi Makinde also said his administration would not be embarking on fresh projects but would rather concentrate on completing existing ones.
At the appropriate time, we would talk about this.
The other thought that crossed my mind about Ogunsina’s post is the fact that I’m beginning to see the young man as the Ostrich that he is, through his actions.
Oyo PDP is very good at deceiving people with facts without figure and assertions without proof before Ogunsina became the PRO and he has filled in appropriately.
I agree with the notion that you can deceive some people all the time.
You can deceive all the people sometimes but even a fool knows that there is no one who possesses the ability to deceive all the people all the time.
Yes, Michael Ogunsina’s Incompetence as a Party spokesperson is being helped by certain factors and I must praise his courage for accepting this important point.
However, his failures are not being helped by the Oyo APC which he mischievously termed as ‘ lazy ‘, but through corruption, greed and loss of integrity by a section of the media.
The fake narratives throwing up Governor Seyi Makinde as a super hero Governor is a creation of a section of the local Media through an orchestrated propaganda.
The identities of the media practitioners who have collected gifts of SUVs, political appointments and other gratifications from the Governor are in the public domain.
It is also public knowledge that immediately these media practitioners got entangled with Governor Seyi Makinde’s Greek gifts, they suddenly become blind, deaf and dumb to his faults.
The taming of these otherwise persistent OAPs will definitely impact on the job of Michael Ogunsina, no doubts.
In the absence of these carefully packaged poisoned gifts, would an acclaimed ‘Radio Man’ be blind and deaf to the plights of the ‘Egbeda 8’ who spent the last December in detention?
Would the ‘Radio Chairman or is it the Mayoral’, be silent about the frustrations, agonies and pains of the about 4,500 Home owners who are about to perpetually lose their properties along the Circular road?
Would those tamed journalists have been silent on the nonsense happening at the Agbowo Shopping Complex?
Would they have allowed the Governor to have peace about the failed project called Light Up Oyo, a project which gulped almost 40b Naira and was declared a failed project by Governor Seyi Makinde himself in less than two years after its delivery?
Would they have pretended not to hear that a misguided socialite in Ibadan said anyone who is willing to cross over to the PDP from the APC is sure to receive between 5-10 thousand dollars from Governor Makinde?
Would they have pretended not to hear that Governor Makinde allegedly purchased a Private Jet for himself sometimes last year or thereabout?
Would they have been silent about the activities of the Oyo state Government around major Markets in Oyo state?
What about the failures and helplessness of the Oyo state Fire-fighters at Aleshinloye market and recently, at a popular Radio station in Ibadan?
Would they have been silent?
The 48 kilometers Ido/Eruwa road is taking Governor Makinde till eternity to fix.
Would those tamed journalists have been silent about it?
I’m just curious and I wish to ask Ogunsina to answer this question, would the Press have been quite and not inquired into the activities of the ‘ shadow Governor ‘, the one, before who, even Michael Ogunsina bows and trembles, the one who is allegedly consuming the spoils from the PMS, the ‘Otunba’ of Oyo state Government?
Michael Ogunsina’s palm kernel were cracked for him by the benevolent spirits of tamed journalists and I expect him to chew in silence.
Assuming the Media in Oyo state has not been mostly tamed, wouldn’t Michael Ogunsina have received scathing remarks concerning his reckless repost of Governor Seyi Makinde where he was enjoying himself with his family in America while some medical personnel in the services of Oyo state were on strike?
My simple advice for the Oyo PDP spokesperson is to be humble and admit to the fact that he hasn’t been doing anything extraordinary.
If positions were to be swapped with the Oyo APC he called lazy, no one would hear the name Michael Ogunsina.
I am glad that Michael Ogunsina, Governor Makinde and Oyo PDP are founding themselves in a defensive position now and they are doing a very bad job of it despite their army of compromised Press men.
Let me round up by referring the Oyo PDP spokesperson to my previous write up where I raised questions about the proposed road projects contained in the last approvals by the Oyo state Executive Committee.
I specifically demanded for certain clarifications concerning the descriptions of a particular project in Ibarapa East and I also raised issues about the contract sums.
I am yet to receive any response from the appropriate quarters.
Would Ogunsina kindly reach out to the Government for clarifications about the concerns raised?
I believe that is one of the ways to do his job more effectively.
Sola Abegunde.
