Humanity: Save Oyo Quintuplets – Omo Iya Kunmi Cries for Help.
A prominent Pro- Masses Thinker and Founder of Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation(OIKF) has appealed to the general public to save quintuplets born by Togolese couple resident in the ancient city of Oyo town in Oyo State.
Oyo Iya Kunmi made this humanitarian call on one of his verified social media handles.
The full statement reads:
“SAVE THE OYO QUINTUPLETS: A CRY FOR HELP
A couple of weeks ago, a poor Togolese couple resident in Oyo town was blessed with Quintuplets (a set of five babies; four female and a male)at the Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso. Of course, the journey thru the delivery of the 5 babies wasn’t an easy one for the poor couple who weren’t only unprepared for this miracle but have exhausted their entire savings on the medical bills for their delivery.
When they couldn’t meet up with the medical bills anymore, they had to leave the hospital. In the course of this, they lost the male child.
When I visited them yesterday, the four babies were poorly clothed, malnourished and laid on mats and the mother was terribly weak, obviously from poor feeding too. This terrible sight alone brought tears to my face.
OUR APPEAL
The couple are not entirely helpless. They have reached out to their people in Togo who have asked them to return home with the kids for proper care but after expending so much on the medical bills and upkeeps, the father who is a poor farmer can not even raise money for the transport fare to Togo.
They are scared of losing the kids the way they lost the male baby. All they need now from us is how we can raise enough funds for them to charter a vehicle to transport them to their place. This is my appeal!
The couple need about 200,000(two hundred thousand naira) for this journey. Please save their souls! We are reaching out to all well meaning individuals to come to the aid of the family!
