There is no force more powerful than a united group of purposeful leaders, and that is exactly what APC in Ibadan North and, by extension, Oyo State should stand for.

We are a coalition of Nigeria’s finest minds, united not by profession or background, but by a shared commitment to building a better society predicated on President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The byelections have come and gone, but what lessons have we learnt as members and as a political party? We are all witness to the fact that at a critical moment, when it matters most, division seems easier than dialogue, and self-interest louder than service.

All hope is not lost, but we must, therefore, rise as a beacon of unity and vision. Ibadan North is a diverse community of different shades of minds, people, and ethnicities. Our diversity should not be a weakness; it should be our greatest strength. It means we understand every corner of the constituency; it also means that we can build bridges where others see walls.

Let us protect our unity. Let us honour one another across generations, class sets, institutions and regions. Let us resist the urge to be fragmented by self-interest, ego or indifference. Where there is misunderstanding, let’s extend grace. Where there is silence, let’s offer encouragement.

Where there is need, let’s show up – not for show, but for impact. We should be looking at the bigger picture and using it as a pedestal to form a renewed commitment to the Party and its leadership at all strata.

There is no iota of doubt that when we speak with one voice, the people will listen, and when we stand together, we stand a better chance to shape tomorrow and prepare the ground to take over the mantle of leadership of the lost Ibadan North House of Representatives seat and subsequently the seat of government at the ‘Agodi house’ come 2027 by God’s grace.

Let unity be our strength. Let service be our bond with enduring party loyalty.
