Ibadan North Byelection: Ademola Alalade Congratulates APC Candidate, Wale Murphy, Urges Unity
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Ademola Alalade, has congratulated Honourable Wale Murphy on his emergence as the party’s candidate for the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.
In a statement released on Saturday, Alalade described Murphy’s victory as a reflection of internal party democracy and the trust reposed in him by leaders, stakeholders, and members of the APC in Ibadan North.
Alalade noted that Murphy’s candidacy represents a fresh wave of hope and energy for the people of Ibadan North, adding that his background and political maturity make him well-positioned to deliver quality representation.
Alalade encouraged party members to put personal interests aside and work collectively toward ensuring victory at the polls, emphasising that party unity and commitment to shared goals must remain the priority.
The Ibadan North seat became vacant following the demise of Hon. Musiliu Akinremi “Jagaban,” and the election is expected to take place on the 16th of August, as stated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
