Ibadan North Byelection: Elite Political Forum Congratulates Murphy, Canvasses Support for APC Standardbearer
Oyo State Elite Political Forum (OSEPF) has congratulated the standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir Olawale Olatunji, popularly known as Murphy, over his emergence as the party’s flagbearer.
The group also canvassed support for the APC flagbearer Murphy, as the only progressive candidate in the forthcoming August 16 byelection of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, who has all it takes to render quality representation for the esteemed constituents of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
This is contained in a release issued by the group’s convener, Hon. Rachael Oluwatoyin Abeleje from Ogbomoso North Local Government of Oyo State, and made available to the newsmen today in Ibadan.
“Congratulations to Hon. ‘Wale Murphy. He is tested and trusted. Let’s all rally round him to beat Gov. Seyi Makinde and his party, PDP’s candidate, hands down. They have nothing to offer, and PDP is no more on the ground in Oyo State. Meanwhile, to practically prove this, we need unity of purpose to record a landslide victory and retain Ibadan North Federal Constituency for the progressive party.
The group continued,”As a party stalwart, you have paid your dues, which brought about your emergence as our party candidate, and it is a testament to your commitment to the success and progress of the Progressive Party since the beginning of the Fourth Republic.
“Dear APC faithful! Let’s go there victoriously. Dear Electorate in Ibadan North Federal Constituency! Vote APC en masse, and vote Murphy massively come August 16. Thank you all,” OSEPF submitted.
