Ibadan North Byelection: Former Council Boss, Abolaji Abayomi, Drums Support for APC Candidate, Hon Wale Olatunji ‘Murphy’

The former chairman of the Irepodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Oyo State, Honourable Abayomi Abolaji, has canvassed support for the standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming August 16 byelection of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. ‘Wale Olatunji popularly known as Murphy.
Speaking on the sidelines of the campaign flag-off ceremony yesterday, Abolaji mobilises support for the APC candidate, Hon. Murphy, and maintained the flagbearer is the best choice of the electorate in the race.
Abolaji urged the voters and party faithful in Ibadan North to vote for the only progressive party, APC, en masse.

Abolaji charged the electorate to reciprocate the trend where the Northerners and the Easterners are moving in droves to APC, declaring full support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Abayomi lamented that if APC fails to retain the federal seat, it will amount to undermining the progressive inclination of Southern Nigeria, especially the Southwest.
“As the southwest electorate, let’s reciprocate a good gesture, and as party members, let’s show our appreciation to each other. Oju o ni ti wa o. APC! Great party and good people.
Abayomi encouraged Oyo APC stakeholders to use this byelection to form a united front not only capable of recording a landslide victory in this byelection but also potent enough to deliver Oyo State come 2027. “The people united can never be defeated,” he echoed.
Abayomi maintained that APC chieftains and political office holders are capable of not only securing victory in this byelection but also winning massively in 2027. “The journey starts now. Let’s vote en masse, let’s vote APC, and let’s vote Hon. Wale Olatunji ‘Murphy’ as Member, House of Representatives (MHR), Ibadan North Federal Constituency. Together, we can. Come August 16, 2025, let’s go there victoriously and nail the coffin of Oyo PDP.” He submitted.
