Ibadan North Byelection: I Wish You Landslide Victory—Afeez Bello ‘Mabinuori’ Congratulates APC Standardbearer, Wale Olatunji ‘Murphy,’ Salutes Other Aspirants

The 2024 councillorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Ward 2 area of Ibadan Local Government of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Honourable Afeez Bello Mabinuori, has joyfully congratulated Hon. Adewale Olatunji, popularly known as Murphy, over his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming bye-election, which is scheduled to be held on August 16.

Mabinuori commended Murphy for his fighting spirit over the last two decades, which just came to pass at this challenging but promising moment.

In his congratulatory message, Mabinuori wrote,“It is my pleasure to wish you hearty congratulations on your emergence as the candidate of our great party. I wish you success and a landslide victory in the forthcoming bye-election.”

Mabinuori recalled Murphy’s dedicated service during the 2024 Local Government Election in Oyo State, where he distinguished himself admirably. He commended the leadership of the APC candidate as the Deputy Director-General (DDG) of the Ibadan North Campaign Council, which sent a sudden acceleration to the camp of the ruling PDP that the APC remain undefeated in the Ibadan North Local Government Area.

As a firm supporter of pro-people representation, Mabinuori expressed confidence in Murphy’s competency, boldness, and courage in adequate representation and human capital development. He prayed that the APC candidate will continue to transform Ibadan North Federal Constituency from where the mighty Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban (Late) left it.

Mabinuori encouraged 10 aspirants who respected the status quo from the initial stage and honoured party supremacy. “It is not that you cannot purchase the expression of interest and nomination form, but you respectthe party supremacy, which is highly commendable. I would also encourage you to work tirelessly for the victory of the party in the upcoming bye-election.

Also, Mabinuori lauded the 9 aspirants who continued in the party primary processes till the end, saying that they were motivating and inspiring to the party. It shows how committed you all are to the process.” He implored them to encourage their followers and supporters to work for the emergence of Murphy since it will put their names in history as one of the faithful contributors to the success of the party in the bye-election.” Also, it will send another political signal to the ruling PDP for its preparation to leave Agodi Government House come 2027.

Mabinuori implored all the party leaders and members to accept faith and see Murphy’s candidacy as ours since victory for one is victory for all. APC success in the bye-election should be the priority of all party members irrespective of their status.

Mabinuori also encouraged Murphy to carry everyone along in his campaign and not to neglect anyone regardless of their political affiliation after his emergence as the Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives.

Mabinuori appealed to the party leadership to engage in genuine reconciliation in order to save the party from a political fiasco, which might tear the party apart if not carried out before the commencement of the bye-election campaign. He wished our Great Party the best outing in the coming poll.
