Ibadan North Byelection: Party Supremacy Behind My Decision to Step Down — Alalade

Ademola Alalade, Ibadan-born politician and an aspirant for the Ibadan North House of Representatives seat, has announced his decision to step down from his aspiration to represent Ibadan North Federal Constituency, citing party supremacy and loyalty as his primary reasons.
In a statement released in Ibadan today, Alalade emphasised that the decision was made after deep reflection and out of respect for the leadership and direction of his political party.
“As a committed and loyal party member, I strongly believe in the values of unity and discipline, even when such decisions come at a personal cost,” he stated.

He, however, assured his supporters that this is not a retreat but a strategic pause. “Let me be clear — this is not the end. My desire to serve the people remains firm. I’m only stepping aside for now to prepare for a greater leap in the future.”

Alalade also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his supporters and reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s progress, promising to continue working for its success.
