IBADAN NORTH HOUSE OF REPS PRIMARY: Delegates’ List Used for The Election Was Doctored – Arisekola, Olaitan, Mustapha Allege • Exercise Was Free, Fair – Prince Akinremi’s Aide Counters.
Three out of the four aspirants jostling for the House of Representatives ticket in Ibadan North Federal Constituency have rejected the declaration of Prince Musiliu Akinremi as the winner.
The Aspirants, Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, Victor Olaitan and Khalid Mustapha claimed the list of the delegates used for the primary election was doctored in favour of the incumbent House of Representatives member, Akinremi.
“We reject the list of the delegates that the Committee chairman has brought. We also reject the choice of the venue,” they stated.
“As far as we are concerned, we want to distance ourselves from the exercise that led to the purported
emergence of Hon Akinremi as the winner of the House of Reps ticket in Ibadan North Local Government”.
When the a reporter on the political desk of this newspaper, Africano Trumpeters, contacted Prince Akinremi’s Media Aide, Mr Adegbuyi Michael “Sir Borjan”, he said,”It was free and fair as witnessed by relevant electoral and security agencies.”
