Ibadan North: Immigration Reconciles With Chairman, CG Deploys New Comptroller to Oyo, Honours Oladayo.
The Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo-State, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo has received a delegation from the Oyo state Immigration Service Command at the council Secretariat who were on a reconciliation visit to him, on Saturday, in his office. Immigration took the bold steps to form a stronger and more cordial ties with the Local Council, Akede Oyo reported.
The courtesy visit by the Immigration Service was led by Compt. I.A Dansule, and other top officers.
In his words, the Director General of the immigration Service in Oyo state said the visit as directed by the Comptroller General of the federation (CGI), Muhammad Banbadede MFR, been his first official visit since his deployment to the state, is to once again apologize on behalf of the immigration service on the ugly incident between the immigration service and the local government, and also to make a reassurance that such will never repeat itself in the future.
“It’s of goodwill that we continue to cohabit as one big family, just like we have always been. The Oyo state immigration service will never undermine the support shown by the local government in the previous years and we will never take such for granted”, Compt. Dansule assured.
The chairman Ibadan North Local Government, Hon.Yusuff Sahib Oladayo commended the efforts made by the Immigration Service reconciliation team, so far, towards ensuring peace and friendly co- existence between the men of the immigration and local government. He encouraged them to keep up the good work.
He stated that officers of the immigration service should have a grassroots and friendly approach not only to political office holders alone but also to the ordinary citizen out there as the uniform and all they represent are to the interest of Nigerians.
The council boss further reassured that the Ibadan North Local Government will continue to work with the service to ensure a better service to members of the public.
On the entourage of the new Director General of the Oyo state Immigration Service Commission, Compt. I.A Dansule, to the office of the chairman were DCI, HO Umoru, ACI Iyang, SI Sobaloju, SI OO Adetunji (PRO), DCI OB Igbekele, ASI Innocent, ASI Iroko and others.
