IBADAN: Prince Abass-Aleshinloye Congratulates New Olubadan.

Member, House of Representatives Hopeful, Come 2023 and the immediate Past ALGON Chairman Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye(MDII) has congratulated Oba (Dr) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo(Alli Okunmade 11), the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land, on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.


Aleshinloye joins the indigenes of Ibadan, the family of the new Olubadan, the government and people of Oyo State in celebrating Oba Balogun on his coronation today.
The Ex ALGON chairman’s message of felicitation was contained in a statement issued in Ibadan, yesterday, through is media office.


The statement said,”Prince Abass Aleshinloye rejoiced with Oba Sen.(Dr) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo(Alli Okunmade 11) on his coronation as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land.

According to him,“While reeling in the euphoria of the moment, I humbly urge you to be the father to all and treat all your people fairly in the discharge of your royal duties.”


“As you ascend the revered throne of your great ancestors, I pray God to guide you in way to put your new position as Oba and principal custodian of the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Ibadans to good use in the service of your people and country,” he said.

“Your walk through your kingdom to this place of your coronation speaks of the great obligation of privilege; the obligation of protecting the cultural rights of the people and promoting their wellbeing.

He urged the Oba to commit himself to carrying his subjects along to a new era of peace, stability and progress in Ibadan land, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Today, your name finds a notable place in the rich history of Oyo monarchy,’’ he said.

He prayed that as you ascended to the throne of the Olubadan of Ibadan land, “God Almighty will grant you wisdom and courage you will require to oversee further progress and greater prosperity of our people.”

The Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene (MDII) wished the new Oba “long and highly” successful reign in the service of his people and country.
