IBADAN: Sen Soji Akanbi’s COMBAT UK Coordinator, Prince Rolu 1 Pays Tribute to ObaOlalekan Balogun
The Coordinator of the Coalition Movement for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COMBAT), United Kingdom Chapter, Prince Gboyega Aderolu (ROLU 1), has mourned the passing of the revered Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun CFR (Alli Okunmade II).
Expressing shock at the sudden transition of the monarch, the illustrious son of Ibadan Land, Prince Rolu 1, lauded Oba Balogun’s reign for its peace and developmental strides in Oyo State, particularly in Ibadanland.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of our valued Royal Father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun (Alli Okunmade II),” the Chieftain of Oyo APC, Prince Rolu 1, said.
“Our late revered monarch was a father to all, deeply rooted in the culture and tradition of Ibadanland. He utilised his education, administrative acumen, political intellect, and wealth of experience during his reign to advance Ibadan Land,” he continued.
Aderolu further praised the late Olubadan’s courageous and progressive ideas, emphasising that, while he will be greatly missed, his legacies will endure.
“I want to commiserate with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland and friends of our great city on this deep and painful loss. Adieu to the legendary emperor of the ancient city of warriors!” Prince Rolu 1 said.
