Ibadan: Taoreed Lawal Foundation Empowers Over 150 Women Yesterday in Oluyole Local Govt.

Taoreed Lawal Foundation has yesterday empowered over 150 women at their first event in Oluyole Local Government Area in Ibadan, Oyo-State of South Western Nigeria. This was done as a part of the efforts to make women in the community self reliant.

Taoreed Lawal, the founder of the Foundation, in his opening speech noted that, “I needed to visit home and empower my people especially during the fasting period. Though, I’ve been doing a lot of philanthropic activities outside Oyo State but I felt the need to come back home. As the popular saying goes, ‘Charity begins at home’. I thank everyone for coming for the empowerment program and I promise to do a lot more.

Lawal revealed that the event is the first stage of the empowerment as there are more activities that will be carried out by the foundation which includes Food bank, Back to School for the children, Market women empowerment and the Ramadan Lecture.

“As we are in the period of fasting, the Ramadan Lecture will hold on Wednesday the 5th of May 2021 at Abbey Technical College, New garage in Ibadan”, he stated.

Among dignitaries present at the event were Oyo ALGON Chairman, Prince Abass Aleshinloye, his Secetary, Hon. Dotun, Hon. Tosin Peller other dignitaries.
