A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibarapaland, Engr. Saheed Adeyemi Oladele (SAO), has urged all politically elected officeholders in Nigeria to make use of the uninterrupted democracy in the country to deliver good dividends of democracy to the people.

SAO, an Ayete, Ibarapa-born politician, made the plea to the elected politicians on Wednesday morning while celebrating the 25 years of seamless democracy practice in Nigeria.

While congratulating the Nigerians at home and diaspora, SAO also extended his greetings to the president, Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu, for his effort in restoring the lost glory of the country.

The aspiring politician also prayed for all Nigerian leaders to get the needed strength and wisdom to take the country to the desired promised land.

“It’s been 25 years of democracy. Happy Democracy Day to all Nigerians in the diaspora and at home. It’s been an amazing 25-year journey of the government of the people by the people and for the people.

“As we gather to mark this silver jubilee, I pray to God Almighty to guide our leaders right and give them the wisdom to lead us right to the promised land.

“May we continue to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, and may our land continue to be prosperous. On this great milestone, I extend my greetings to our dear pilot and leader, Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu GCFR, for his hard work to make this country great. Our hope is renewed, and may his time in office bring out the best in our country. I wish him the best as he marks his first anniversary in office.

“As we continue to celebrate, I want to appeal to our elected officers to continue extending the dividend of democracy to our people at the grassroots, to our lawmakers, and to our executives. Let’s complement the beauty of democracy by giving autonomy to our local council. This will make the dividend of democracy flow to every doorstep.

“To my brothers and sisters, the great sons and daughters of Ibarapa Land, I wish you all a happy celebration. May our land continue to enjoy the goodwill of democracy, and let’s use our power to attract the best to our land.’ SAO submitted.
