ICON OF HOPE: IBBUL SUG HONOURS ACOMORAN PRESIDENT FOR OUTSTANDING QUALITY.
The student Union leadership of the Ibrahim Babangida University, in Lapai, Niger state has honoured the National President of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Owner, Repairers and Riders Association of Nigeria, ACOMORAN, Prince Shamsideen Abolaji Apelogun over his outstanding performance in human capacity development and reformation of the largest transport Union in Africa, ACOMORAN.
This was made known to public when the lifetime honouree posted on his social media handle with the caption “I never saw this coming, but I appreciate those who monitors my step/progress without me noticing.”
The students’ Union leadership are believed to have awarded the accomplished transporter and businessman, for restoring sanity to the Nigerian transport union system through provision of academic scholarships to members of the public and facilitation of ACOMORAN members’ individual development in business activities.
Presenting the lifetime honorary award, where he was named an ‘ICON OF HOPE’, the leadership of students union extolled the virtues of the ACOMORAN President who also doubled as the Ashiwaju Adeen of Ogun state, as an accomplished businessman, positively touching lives and bringing out quality values where it is less expected and turning supposed garage boys to successful business owners.
Reacting to this development, a social media user and Tricycle rider, said in his own words, “Our boss has been well known to be a generous giver. He has positively touched several lives and changed many people’s story to a better one. He transformed our Union, ACOMORAN from its earlier ways of violence and thuggery to an association of the intellectuals and accomplished business owners. History will never forget him for this”, he lauded.
