Igangan: Enough Is Enough, We Must All Rise to Save Our People – Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, Adekanmbi Laments, Solidarises With Indigenes.
Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, come 2023, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi has solidarised with the indigenes of Igangan and entire Ibarapa land over wanton killings and destruction of properties unleashed on the community, in the early hours of Sunday, by the suspected criminal elements among Fulani herdsmen.
“My heart is bleeding and my prayer is with our good people of Igangan and entire Ibarapa land, we shall overcome”, Ex-Oyo Finance Commissioner, Adekanmbi lamented.
“It’s so disheartening to see the level of damage recorded in the early hours of Sunday. However, the perpetrators must be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted”, he reiterated.
“May God Almighty end the bloodshed in Ibarapa land and entire Nigeria. Enough is enough and we must all rise to save our people. Security of lives and properties are guaranteed by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I sympathised and empathised with the families that lost their loved ones and valuable properties. May God Almighty give you fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
Adekanmbi charged governments, at all strata, to take holistic approaches that will end killings in Ibarapa land and other parts of the state. “The basic constitutional roles of any business-minded government are security of lives and welfare packages”, he stated.
“Our security architecture, in the state, is now becoming deteriorated and indigenes are now living in perpetual panic.
“Yes, irrespective of our political leanings, we must all join hands together and form a formidable force to curb the rising waves of insecurity in the land, all lives matter”, he emphasized.
