Igangan: This Carnage Must Stop, We Must All Rise to Save Our People – Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, Adekanmbi Laments, Symphatises With Indigenes.
Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, come 2023, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi has sympathised with the indigenes of Igangan and the entire Ibarapa land over wanton killings and destruction of properties unleashed on the community, in the early hours of Sunday, by the suspected criminal elements among Fulani herdsmen.

“My heart is bleeding and my prayer is with our good people of Igangan and the entire Ibarapa land, we shall overcome”, Ex-Oyo Finance Commissioner, Adekanmbi lamented.
“It’s so disheartening to see the level of carnage unleashed in the early hours of Sunday. However, the perpetrators must be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted”, he reiterated.
“May God Almighty end the bloodshed in Ibarapa land and entire Nigeria. Enough is enough and we must all rise to save our people. Security of lives and properties are guaranteed by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I sympathise with and empathise with the families that lost their loved ones and valuable properties. May God Almighty give you fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
Adekanmbi charged governments, at all strata, to take a community driven holistic approach that will end killings in Ibarapa land and other parts of the state. “The basic constitutional roles of any serious-minded government are security of lives and welfare packages”, he stated.
“Our security architecture in the state has deteriorated and indigenes are now living in perpetual panic.
“Yes, irrespective of our political leanings, we must all join hands together and form a formidable force to curb the rising waves of insecurity in the land, all lives matter”, he emphasized.
