It is with heavy heart, I condole with the royal House, the entire Oyo Mesi, all the good people of Oyo town and Oyo state in general.
The loss of our first class king who is an exemplary king, a father and a custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition; The late Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III was not only the Alaafin of Oyo, he was a father to all, going beyond the call of duty to ensure that the Yoruba race maintained its voice and placed in the affairs of our nation.
Oba Adeyemi’s counsel, wittiness and unmatchable knowledge of Yoruba History, Culture and tradition will be respectably missed.
However, Kabiesi lived life to it fullest, as one of the longest serving king in our history whose reign was peaceful and brought development to Yoruba land. It is in this we took solace and appreciate God for a life well spent. May the almighty God give all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
