In Acquisition of Digital Literacy Skills, Gender Must Be Taken Into Consideration – Says Dr Florence Ajimobi

A notable philanthropist and former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief (Dr.) Florence Ajimobi, has delivered a thought-provoking lecture on ‘Gender and Skill Enhancement for Digital Integration in Hybrid Education Models in Nigeria’ at the University of Lagos’ (UNILAG) Annual Faculty of Education Lecture Series.

During Her Excellency’s visit, Dr. Ajimobi, President of the Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation (SAAF), paid a courtesy call on Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, commending her leadership and administrative expertise.

The lecture emphasised the crucial role of gender consideration in digital literacy skills acquisition for students and lecturers, promoting an equitable education system in Nigeria.

Attendees included students, academicians, non-teaching staff, and stakeholders who acknowledged the growing importance of technology and need for stronger policies.
