In Memoriam of Sen Abiola Ajimobi | By Dr Adebayo Adams.
Death is inevitable, and it is certain all souls must and will surely taste death. We take solace in the will of Almighty God for Him alone that giveth and taketh.
It is now 1,095 days without Architect of modern Oyo state, 26,280 hours without Archipalego and it is exactly 3 years today that the curtain drew and Akanji took a bow, but not on a low. Our amiable mentor’s death remained a big blow in Oyo political circle. Sheu’s leadership prowess is sorely missed and he left a big vacuum that it is only Almighty God can help to fill.
He is a great man – A friend of the masses, a highly distinguished helmsmen, and one of the most revered illustrious and industrious sons of Ibadanland.
He was a performer. He was very productive “my kind of man”, who never pretended or hided his feelings. He likes talking but anytime you heard his melodious voice, he did speak senses.
Akanji Omo Agboluaje! The Jinx breaker, and the man that set standard records. His inspiring life documented an evidence of a worthy life that is worthy of emulation, and his life after death will be well celebrated, for his commitments and contributions towards service he rendered to the good people of Oyo state.
Administratively, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi was Mr. Security. He gave the good people of Oyo State an enabling environment that birthed industrialization and urban development, rural improvement intervention and the role he played during flood will forever be remembered.
Sen. Ajimobi gave us first flyover bridge, First Technical University among others. Truly, he was unarguably the best performing governor in the history of the pacesetter state – He raised the bar of Governance.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcoming. May he be pardoned and grant easy access to Aljanat Fridaus(Aamin).
We thank God for the wonderful life spent by our revered Leader, Father and Mentor Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi. His life after death gives founding memory about him and we can only appeal to Almighty God to keep resting his humble soul, grant him peaceful rest, honour him in his grave, make him comfortable in all his present state and may Almighty Allah make Al-Janat his permanent abode.
May God Almighty keep strengthening Her Excellency, Chief(Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi for upholding the legacy of his loving husband and I’m proud of Her for sustaining the dynasty. It is my prayer that Almighty God will grant her the vigour to continue meritious sèrvice to humanity.
Rest on Aare Atunluse!
