Independence Day: Let’s Promote Unity in Diversity – Barr Akeem Agbaje Charges Nigerians.
Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a notable philanthropist and gubernatorial aspirant in May 28 governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State has greeted Nigerians, especially, good people of Oyo-State, on the occasion of this year Nigeria’s independence anniversary.
In a statement released today in Ibadan to mark the 62rd anniversary of the independence, the Legal Luminary, Agbaje maintained that “together we can collectively build Nigeria of our dream.
While greeting Nigerians, and the good people of the state, on the occasion of this year independence anniversary, Agbaje said,”My good people of Oyo State and my fellow Nigerians! We’re all one irrespective of our diversities. Let’s promote unity in diversity. Yes, we remain brothers and sisters.
“We must realise the fact that what connect us together as a nation and members of human race are more stronger than what divide us. So, let’s tolerate each other. Let’s allow peace to reign and let’s foster unalloyed unity among ourselves, for Nigeria, to be truly great. Happy Independence Celebration, my people”, Agbaje greeted.
“I celebrate our journey into a future where opportunities for all Nigerians, irrespective of their region or religion, creed or colour remain sacrosanct, and where the ability and the zeal of our citizens can only build a better Nigeria. I celebrate a brighter Nigeria where experiences of our past can only strengthen our determination for greatness”, Agbaje stated.
“Let’s reflect on the struggles of our independence and cherish once more, and together, the diversities of our nationhood. We should all commit to peaceful coexistence, harmonious relationship and common development. Once again, happy independence celebration”, he concluded.
Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a legal luminary and illustrious son of Ibadan land, hailed from a family of many firsts; Late Dr. Anthony Saka Agbaje, the first medical doctor of Ibadan origin, Late Chief Abdul Mojeed Folarin Agbaje, the first lawyer of Ibadan Origin; and Late Hon. Justice Abdul Ganiyu Agbaje JSC, the first Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria of Ibadan origin.
Barr. Akeem is a progeny of the Legendary Agbaje Salami L’Ayeye. The Great Agbaje Salami was an earlier Ibadan billionaire, first generation Nigerian politician, influential statesman and notable philanthropist, who immensely contributed his own quota to the sociocultural, socioreligious and sociopolitical advancements and progress of Ibadan Land and its environs.
