Influential Islamic Cleric, Akewugbagold Canvasses Supports for Mr GRA, Charges APC to Give Assembly Ticket to Popular Radio Presenter

Give House of Assembly Ticket to Mr GRA, We’ll Support Oyo APC – Sheik Akewugbagold States As AbdulRazaq AbdulGaneey officially Declares His Intention to Run for Oyo State House of Assembly, Assures Pro-People Representation.

Ahead of the 2023 General election, a renowned and world class Islamic Cleric in Nigeria, Sheikh Taofeek Akewugberu Akeugbagold has advised Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress to give the party ticket to the popular radio Presenter, Alhaji AbdulRasaq AbdulGaneey popularly known as Mr GRA in the forthcoming general election for the position of state legislator from Ibadan North Constituency-I.

During the 2nd Annual Ramadan Public Lecture held yesterday, Wednesday April 13, at De Aces Hall, Yemetu, Ibadan, the Islamic Cleric described Mr GRA as someone who is very vocal, famous, articulate, indispensable and pious. Akewugbagold stated that GRA possess good character.”He is reliable, influential, friendly and he can control youths across the state.

Akeugbagold said,”We will all support APC if it gives Oyo State House of Assembly ticket to Mr GRA, even, APC will enjoy the love and support of the people and the press massively”.

Alhaji Akeugbagold also advised the House of Assembly Hopeful, Mr GRA that,”If you eventually get the ticket and win the general election, you should be kind to people and electorates, and the party members, as well. You shall succeed, he prayed.

“GRA is qualified. He is oratorically incandescent. Yes, he is very vocal, articulate, intelligent and has the intellectual acumen to excel as a legislator. As I said earlier, he is popular among the teeming youths and the masses in general.

Alhaji Taofeek Akeugbagold urged APC leaders and members in attendance to support Mr GRA, “Please, give him the ticket, we will support your party, APC needs credible candidate like Alhaji AbdulRasaq AbdulGaneey. Nigerians should vote for good personality like Mr GRA”, he canvassed.

While declaring his intention, Alhaj AbdulRazaq AbdulGaneey (Mr GRA) stated that “All glories and adorations are due to Almighty God for giving us divine grace to gather here today for the purpose of my 2nd Ramadan Lecture cum official declaration of my interest to represent the good people of Ibadan North Constituency-I on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during 2023 General Election.

Continuing,”My joining Politics is not desire for wealth accumulation but to make meaningful impacts on my people and immediate state Constituency.

“Politics is an opportunity to serve humanity. As a journalist, I always advocate good governance and quality representation. Now, it is time to practise what I have been preaching on air over the years. Hence, my desire to represent my people in the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly is a resolve to serve. Legislature is the bedrock of democracy… I am fully prepared, I will sponsor masses oriented bills and raise motions. I will, as well, facilitate meaningful constituency projects to every nooks and crannies of my constituency. I cannot afford to fail or disappoint you.
