Installation: Chief Adelabu Wishes New Olubadan, Oba ‘Lekan Balogun Peaceful, Successful Reign.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu has joined other eminent Nigerians to congratulate Oba(Dr) Olalekan Balogun (Alli Okunmade ll) on ascending the throne of his forefathers.
The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) in his congratulatory message to the Olubadan of Ibadan land, made available to journalists by one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, said he was optimistic that the tenure of Oba Lekan Balogun will usher in new development and peaceful atmosphere that will attract local and foreign investors into the city.
The Agba Akin Parakoyi of Ibadanland urged the new Ibadan Monarch to use his wealth of experience in politics, governance and administration to fast track meaningful development to Ibadan land and its environs.
“The emergence of Oba Lekan Balogun as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan after the demise of Oba Saliu Adetunji depicts a perfect example of a round peg in a round hole. His installation is an affirmation that Ibadan chieftancy procedure and process remains the best and rancour free”, Adelabu Stated.
Chief Adelabu also charged all sons and daughters of Ibadan, both home and abroad, to support Oba Lekan Balogun and Olubadan in Council towards ensuring peace and progress of the ancient city.
