Int’l Women’s Day: Fatai Buhari Lauds Women for Their Roles in Nation Building, “Encourages Them to Aid Desired Changes”.
Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly has showered encomium on women for aiding a better society through their many progressive and assiduous efforts.
The lawmaker, Buhari said this in his International Women’s Day Celebration 2021 message.
“Women are indispensable nation builders who toil day and night to ensure each family unite towards making the larger society a saner place to live”, Buhari maintained.
“Behind every successful man, they say, is a woman. So, the many achievements here and there is as a result of the peaceful homes, which gives the men sound minds to operate.
” I appreciate all women for standing by us in both good and tough times.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Land Transport, Buhari further charged women to “choose to challenge”, as the theme for this year anniversary depicts, to change the narratives.
“It is true that the 35% inclusion of women for equality is yet to be actualised but it is achieveable, as it better than what we used to have.
“There is no limit to things you can achieve so you need to be more courageous, focused and put the necessary machineries in place towards changing the narratives to having gender equality, a task that is achievable”, Fatai Buhari charged women.
“I wish all women a more purposeful International Women’s Day Celebration”, he greeted.
The day, March 8th, is chosen as a day women all round the world celebrate the International Women’s Day taking into consideration political , cultural, social and economic achievements in their various walks of endeavours.
The many problems they face are equally juxtaposed and the many ways to achieving gender parity is the major concerns on this special day.
This year theme for the Women’s Day Celebration is ; “Choose To Challenge“.
