Int’l Women’s Day – I’m Joyful to Celebrate You – Oyo Guber Aspirant, Dr Adeduntan Lauds Womenfolk.

A leading Gubernatorial Aspirant, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, come 2023, Chief(Dr) Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has celebrated women on the observance of this year International Women’s Day(IWD).

The Harvard trained, and board certified, International Cardiovascular Surgeon, and former Commissioner for Health in the State, Chief(Dr) Adeduntan lauded womenfolk and described them as pride of humanity.

The Osi Bashorun of Ibadan Land, Chief Adeduntan said,”Happy International Women’s Day. Today is the ‘International Women’s Day(IWD)’, a day, set aside, to celebrate women and their economic, political, and social achievements around the world. It is also a time to focus on places and situations where major issues like gender equality, sexual abuse, women’s rights, mental health, workplace safety and economic inequality still have a long way to go.

Former 2011 Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate, in the state, and former faculty Member, Morehouse School of Medicine Atlanta, USA, Dr Adeduntan  continued,”Indeed, I’m joyful to I join our women across the globe as we celebrate the many achievements on the road to gender equality, and recommit ourselves to fight for the rights and opportunities of women and girls around the world.

In his words, Dr Adeduntan maintained that,”Imagine a gender- equitable world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s inclusiveness. Collectively we can all break the bias.

“To encourage our mothers, sisters and daughters, let’s always celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias and take action for inclusiveness .

“Celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key”, Dr Adeduntan reiterated.
