On a scale unprecedented in history; women continue to break barriers in leadership, education, science, business, and public life—yet inequality, exclusion, and injustice still persist.
Therefore, as we celebrate the strength, courage, and brilliance of women everywhere today on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, let it be more than celebration alone. Today must be more than a tribute; it must be a call to action.
A society that truly values progress must value its women.
In my quest to serve our great Oyo Central Senatorial District at the Senate; one of my cardinal objectives is genuine women development, empowerment and security. This is because when women are empowered, communities prosper, institutions become stronger, and nations move forward.
Today, I call for a renewal of our commitment to equity, opportunity, and respect for every woman and girl.
The future will only be as strong as the place we give women in shaping it.
