Like a new bride, the appearance of Alhaji Nurudeen Emiloju at the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Iwo on Wednesday, ignited a thrilling atmosphere among members of the main opposition party, who relishes the prospect of the new addition.

Alhaji Emiloju, a businessman, who was led into the gathering by the PDP Chairman in his Molete I, have a field day embracing the huge goodwill that welcomed him as he make his way to his seat.

Iwo PDP Chairman, Hon Sefiu Apesin announced to the excitement of party faithfuls that Alhaji Emiloju is now a member of PDP, noting that he has since joined the party at his ward level but only attending the local meeting for the first time.

He described the development as a further indication that Osun people are ready for PDP, projecting Alhaji Emiloju as a grassroot mobilizer that will definitely boost the chance of the party in elections.

A leader of PDP in Iwo, Hon Sulaiman Bello handed PDP flag to Alhaji Emiloju, expressing confidence in his ability to add value to the party and contribute to the efforts of other leaders to deliver victory.

When it was the turn of Alhaji Emiloju to address the gathering, he appreciated the warm reception from leaders and members, promising to work hard for the PDP to win Iwo in the next year governorship and every other elections opened for contest in 2023.

He assured that just as he did with the #Iwolokan struggle in 2018, PDP will gain from his voters drive efforts and wrestle APC hold of Iwo.
