“June 12”: I Pay Homage to All Brave Hearts – Babalaje of Ogbomosoland, Engr Open Salawu Greets Nigerians on Democracy Day.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo-State and Babalaje of Ogbomosoland, Engr Mufutau Open Salawu has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of this year “Democracy Day” celebration.
“I pay homage to all the brave hearts who gave their lives for the next generations to live. I am proud to be a Nigerian, and June 12 is significant to our democracy. It is the day President Muhammadu Buhari resuscitated and recognised as the real democracy day for Nigeria”, the Waziri jari Nupe said.
“I will urge our vibrant youths to take advantage of this day as the day to re-strategise for a better future and participate in our leadership recruitment”, Saraki Adini of Ogbomoso and environs, Salawu advised.
“It’s unfortunate that no meaningful result will be achieved in the country with protests, for now, due to lack of awareness of majority of the citizens in participating in governance.
“You can judge the lack of interest with the numbers of voters during our national elections compared to the numbers of registered GSM users in the country. The future of our country is in our hands so, let us choose the right leaders that are competent and experienced to various posts of leadership, always”, Saraki Adini of Ogbomoso and its environs, Open Salawu stated.
