Just In: Tinubu Legacy Forum Postpones National Symposium Organised to Address “Threats to Nigerian Unity”.
A Renown Socio-Political Movement mobilizing for the presidential agenda of National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tinubu Legacy Forum(TLF), under the BoT’s Chairmanship of Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem has postponed its proposed national symposium organised to address the threats to Nigerian unity, due to the upsurge of COVID-19, till further notice.
The Forum also used the avenue to felicitate with Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year Eid el Kabir celebration.
This is contained in a press release issued yesterday and made available to the news men in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo-State.
The full release reads:
“RE: THREAT TO NATIONAL UNITY: A NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM;
THE NEED FOR POSTPONEMENT DUE TO UPSURGE OF COVID 19.
As a fallout of the meeting of the Board of Trustee held on Monday 19th July, 2021, the board appraised the state of the nation and congratulated Nigerians home and abroad as they celebrate Eid el Kabir. The Board further enjoined Nigerians to celebrate the festival with caution most especially as the country begins to experience the third wave of Covid -19.
In the same vein, the board in reviewing the state of the nation viz-a-viz the national symposium, observed that due to the fact that the national Symposium will attract large gathering of people, who will want to come and celebrate the national leader of the All Progressive Congress and our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it behooves on the Forum to key into the spirit of the nation, and postpone the programme so as not to expose the lives of the followers of our leader and principal to Covid-19.
The Board regrets any inconveniences this may caused our leaders, stakeholders, sympathisers and followers. The board assured them that a new date would be communicated later.
Thank you.
E-Signed
Laleye Lawrence
Chairman, Symposium Organising Committee
For and on Behalf of Board of Trustee.”
