LAUTECH: Don’t Scuttle Your Achievements With Multi Campus Structure – Open Salawu Tells Makinde
LAUTECH: Don’t Scuttle Your Achievements With Multi Campus Structure – Open Salawu Tells Makinde.
Former Aide to Late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi and A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) from Ogbomosho land, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu has advised Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to refrain from using his own hands to scuttle his achievements on LAUTECH sole ownership with the proposed multi campus structures for running the institution.
Open Salawu, in a statement issued today, reiterated that the governor should instead focus on how to make the institution a conventional one.
He wrote: “
“Gov. Makinde! restrain yourself.
A lot of people voted for you thinking you will better their situation and improve on their lives. I know you’re struggling to maintain the momentum by borrowing for wrong reasons and putting our state into more debtorship.
With your experience in private sector, we all expect more brilliant ideas and developments to increase our IGR . Now you are planning multi campus for LAUTECH, an institution that has suffered from epileptic kind of operations for years and God has just used you to secure sole ownership and you want to use your hands to scuttle the tremendous achievement you just made.
Those that you thought will benefit from the contracts of ‘Multi Campus’ are the same people that will mock you tomorrow when you fail. Ogbomoso and people of Oke Ogun enjoy wonderful relationships and we shouldn’t be set against each other through avoidable reason. Currently Federal University of Agriculture is being sponsored, that will benefit the zone and I believe they would prefer that to a mini campus.
My Governor, please voncentrate on making LAUTECH a ‘Conventional University’ in Ogbomoso and you will forever engrave your name in our hearts”, Open Salawu emphasized.
