Legacy Forum Commends Oyo Govt, Oyo APC, Other Stakeholders over Prince Olaide Akinremi’s One-Year Remembrance Event

The Akinremi Legacy Forum has expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and attended the one-year remembrance programme organised to mark the demise of the late. Rt. Hon. Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban), who until his death on 10th July 2024 was the House of Reps member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency.

At the event which was held yesterday, Thursday 10th July 2025, at Pentonrise Event Centre, Bodija, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, H.E. Barr. Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, was present alongside other stakeholders in the Oyo State Government hierarchy, and the Akinremi Legacy Forum is indeed grateful for their presence, support and honour done to immortalise late Hon. Olaide Akinremi.

Last year during the 8-day Fidau prayer for the late Hon. Olaide Akinremi, the Oyo State Government announced their decision to immortalise him by naming a housing estate around Samonda, Ibadan, after him. This estate is now ready and was announced by the Deputy Governor for unveiling next week.

Akinremi Legacy Forum also thanks the Oyo State APC led by Alhaji Abass Olajide, who was ably represented by Hon. Joshua Oyebamiji alongside members of the State Excos present, while extending this appreciation to the Ibadan North Chapter of the APC too.

Additionally, Akinremi Legacy Forum remains immensely grateful to the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, alongside members of his executives who graced the event.

Akinremi Legacy Forum prays that God Almighty blesses everyone and prays that the soul of the late Hon. Olaide Akinremi continues to rest in peace, amen.
