LG Polls: Adelabu Progressive United Front Drums Support for Tesleem Babatunde, Eleven APC Councillorship Candidates in Ibadan North West Local Govt
ADELABU PROGRESSIVE UNITED FRONT DRUMS UP SUPPORT FOR TESLEEM BABATUNDE JIMOH AND THE ELEVEN APC COUNCILLORSHIP CANDIDATES IN IBADAN NORTH WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The leadership and the entire members of the Adelabu Progressive United Front in the Ibadan North West Local Government Area of Oyo-State have endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in the local government, Honourable Tesleem Babatunde Jimoh, and the eleven councillorship candidates of the party, as the Saturday, April 27 local government elections are fast approaching.
In a press statement released by the leadership of the socio-political group on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the progressive front canvassed the good people of Ibadan North West Local Government to come out enmasse to vote for Hon. Babatunde Jimoh.
The group declared Hon. Jimoh and others “the best and most credible candidate vying for the chairmanship seat of the local government, his deputy, Hon. (Mrs.) Omowumi Adeneye Adeyemi, and the eleven councillorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“With no credible records of the performance of the incumbent council chairman, Alhaji Rahman Adepoju, running for the second term under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Tesleem Babatunde Jimoh, a.k.a. Van Basteen, remains the toast of the electorate in Ibadan North West Local Government for :
i. running on a gender-friendly ticket, that equally accommodates other religions and faiths
ii. his private interventions in the socio-economic development of the local government area. He constantly initiates poverty alleviation programmes for the benefit of the indigenes and residents of the local government.
iii. he has lit up all the nooks and crannies of the Ibadan North West Local Government with the provision of solar-powered lights in all eleven wards of the local government.
iv. he paid for the WAEC and UTME of a good number of indigent students in the local government, to mention but a few of the humanitarian initiatives Van Basteen has been able to do to better the lots of the good people of Ibadan North West Local Government.”
“Therefore, we cannot but encourage the Ibadan North West Local Government electorate to troop out in large numbers to exercise their civic right to vote, make their votes count by voting for the man of the people and the best man for the job, Hon. Tesleem Babatunde Jimoh, a.k.a. Van Basteen, for Ibadan North West Local Government to be a model for others in our Pacesetter State, and jealously protect their votes. They must not exercise any fear, as the security agents would be on the ground to ensure peaceful conduct of the elections, in collaboration with the anticipated unbiased officials of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC.”
