Senator Buhari Splashes N25M To Oyo North Candidates, Party Leaders Ahead Of The Local Government Elections.

Ahead of the April 27, 2024, local government elections in Oyo State, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, has supported the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates and party leaders in Oyo North Senatorial District with a whopping sum of twenty-five million naira.
The event, which had in attendance all 13 chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates, 134 councillors, all party chairmen and party secretaries in the 13 local governments of Oyo North Senatorial District, and party leaders, took place at his residence in the Ogbomoso High School area today, Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
The fund aimed at enhancing the campaign efforts of our party and its candidates was distributed as follows:
1. 13 Chairmanship Candidates: N500,000 each
2. 13 Vice Chairmanship Candidates: N100,000 each
3. 134 Councillorship Candidates: N100,000 each
4. 13 LG Party Leadership: N250,000 each
5. Oyo North Senatorial Executives and Party Leaders: N500,000.
According to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation and Aerospace Development,”With this support, it is my belief that our candidates are better equipped to articulate their vision and engage with our people in their bids to provide qualitative representation at the grassroots.
The local government elections in Oyo State will come up on Saturday, April 27, 2024, and it is hoped that the masses will support and vote for APC candidates so that the local government, which is the closest to the people, could be revitalised for the betterment of the people.
