Life Is A Collection of Moments: Alhamdulilai for the Journey So Far | By Monsuru Adeyemo ‘Socrates’.
NANS Zone-D (Southwest), I extend my heartfelt gratitude.
I want to begin by extending my warmest congratulations to Comrade Alao John Oluwadamilola, who has taken on the esteemed role of Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Zone-D (Southwest). This achievement marks a significant milestone, not just for Comrade Alao John but for all of us in the student community across Southwestern Nigeria.
I also wish to take this moment to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible honour bestowed upon me and fellow awardees during the recent inauguration ceremony and award night of NANS Zone-D. This recognition is deeply meaningful and serves as a reminder of the remarkable moments that have shaped my life. It also presents a challenge, one that motivates us to continue striving for excellence.
As a struggles-tested student union veteran and a dedicated advocate for the welfare of our student community, the interests of student union leaders, and the promotion of human capital development for former leaders (stakeholders), by His Grace, I pledge to redouble my efforts and provide unwavering support to your leadership. Together, we can achieve great things.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Comrade Afolabi Mutiu Adesina (Afoguarantor), my former Chief of Staff (CoS), and former NANS Zone-D (Southwest) Deputy Coordinator. Afo! Thanks for your outstanding representation and constant support.
This award is dedicated to the memory of martyrs of struggles during my reign as Zone-D Coordinator: Aremo Olugbemga (Ibile) and others, as well as to our beloved late leader, Comrade Yemi Likedat, and all fallen heroes and heroines of struggles.
In closing, let us move forward with a Pan-Africanist spirit, always seeking unity and progress.
With fraternity and warm regards,
Comrade Monsur Adeyemo (Socrates),
Former Vice Chairman,
Aare Latosa Local Council, Oyo State, Nigeria.
