Mawlud Nabbiy: Hon Bimbo Kolade Greets Muslims, Preaches Tolerance, Compassion

In a heartfelt message to mark the celebration of Mawlud Nabbiy 2025, Honourable Bimbo Kolade, Oyo State Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), extended warm greetings to the Muslim community both in Nigeria and around the world.
Celebrated annually on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the festival commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a pivotal event in the Islamic calendar. Hon. Kolade emphasised the importance of embodying the Prophet’s teachings, particularly regarding tolerance, humility, and compassion.
On behalf of myself, my family and my constituents, I, Hon. Bimbo Kolade, hereby extend felicitations to the Muslim Ummah throughout Nigeria and across the entire globe on the celebration of Eid el Maulud 2025.

As we celebrate the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad, SAW, which is a significant Islamic festival, observed annually on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar, I call on all Nigerians to imbibe the teachings of the prophet, especially on tolerance, humility and compassion. It is my belief that more than at any point in our collective history as a country do we need these three attributes of humanity than now as we together build a nation of peace, unity and prosperity.

I urge us all – irrespective of our individual religious leanings – to take some time out today for spiritual reflection, community bonding, and honouring the Prophet’s life, teachings, and legacy through prayers, charity, and emulation of his character.
I wish us all happy celebrations and many more to come.
Signed:
Hon. ‘Bimbo Kolade,
Oyo State Federal Commissioner,
Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Abuja.
