Mawlud Nabiyy: Prince Abass-Aleshinloye Charges Muslims to Pray for Nigeria’s Peace, Unity.

As Muslims in Oyo State and the whole of Nigeria join their fellow believers across the world to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the immediate Past Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON), in the state, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye(MDII), urged every Nigerian of the Islamic faith to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and continued unity of the country.

Prince Aleshinloye, in a statement issued yesterday, urged Muslims to use the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad to imbibe and promote the virtues of humility, love, peace, harmony and mutual co-existence which the prophet exemplified.

Aleshinloye also called for prayers for Nigeria to overcome its current economic challenges and insecurity. “Mawlud Nabiyy is a special period that calls for sober reflections and special prayers to the Almighty for the peace, progress and continued unity of the country. We must also put aside our ethnic, religious and political differences and come together to build a more united and peaceful country,” he added.
