Here is a seasoned financial Expert and pro-people Member, House of Representatives(MHR) Hopeful, from Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), come 2023, Honourable Mutahir Olanrewaju Fasola.

Mutahir hails from Fashola family of Iya Abiye Compound, Isale Asaka, Foko, Ward 5, Ibadan Southwest, in Ibadan, capital of Oyo-State. His political movement is known as “MOF ’23”.

Here is Mutahir Olanrewaju Fasola’s Profile: Mutahir Olanrewaju Fasola popularly known as “INNOCENTY” is a native of Ibadan and born to “FASHOLA” family of Iya Abiye Compound, Isale Asaka, Foko to be precised.

Young Mutahir attended Baoku Memorial School, Foko and he furthered his secondary education at Ansar Ud Deen High School, Liberty Road, both in Ibadan, respectively.

Olanrewaju relentlessly acquired OND and HND in Accountancy from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, where he served as Vice President of the National Association of Polytechnic Accountancy Students, Disciplinary Committee Chairman of Excel Assembly Foundation with Lineage No 29.

He was a freelance writer of Federation of Ibadan Student Union, Member Fund raising committee of MSSN, Iree chapter, Chairman Education Committee of MSSN and many more.

Mutahir Fasola bagged Post Graduate Diploma(PGD) in Accounting from Nigeria College of Accountancy, Jos, Plateau State. He has Bsc in Accounting from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. MSc in Forensic Investigation (Accounting and Auditing) from Nassarawa State University, Keffi, Nassarawa State and, currently, he is on his Ph.D, Forensic Accounting in ANAN University Kwall(ANUK), Plateau State, to boost his academic qualifications and give, more back to the society.

• He is a professional member of the following bodies: Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN,(CNA).
• Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN, (ACTI).
• Nigeria Institute of Management,NIM, (MNIM).

Fasola is a seasoned financial analyst, public and motivational speaker, erudite teacher, unbiased moderator with “Community Development”-driven passion which enabled him to bag Taraba State NYSC Best Male Corp Member Award 2009 and NYSC Presidential Award of 2009.

Fashola’s leadership styles and relevant skills won him many exceptional and exemplary leadership awards; He bagged “LEADS” African 2021 Patriotic Personality Award (Young Beacon of Hope Category).

Apparently, Mutahir’s commitments towards “Financial Management Development” in Nigeria accorded him various commendation letters and awards in various ministries at federal level.

He also served as secretary, constitution review committee of association of NYSC Presidential Award Winner, chairman finance committee of Excel Assembly Foundation, Nigeria and Pioneer Secretary of Foko-Asaka-Akuro Muslim community.

He has previously worked in insurance company and banking sector prior to his appointment by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria through presidential award to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Ministry of Finance, Abuja.

Mutahir has inspected Financial Management records of Public Sector Entities (PSE’s), at home and in diasporas(Nigeria Embassies).

He has worked with World Bank/CSDP Project as Assistant Project Accountant in Asokoro (seconded).

He is one of the key player of NG-CARES (World Bank Project on Nigeria Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economy Stimulus) and currently, he is seconded as Financial Management Expert 1.

Mutahir has facilitated and attended many courses, workshops, seminars and conferences both within and outside Nigeria. He has contributed immensely to the progress of his community, federal constituency, Oyostate and Nigeria, at large.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
