Michael Koleosho Added Value to Democracy, Economy – APC Mourns Oyo Ex-SSG

The All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state has lamented the death of the former Secretary to the State Government, Chief Michael Koleosho, described him as an icon who added value to the cause of democracy as well as economic development and the good of the society while alive.

Chief Koleosho reportedly died peacefully in his home on Monday at the age of 86 years. The late Babalaje of Sakiland served as the Commissioner for Works in the administration of late Bola Ige in the old Oyo state while he was also the national chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy.

Oyo APC, in a statement issued on Tuesday and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, described the passing of Chief Koleosho as a great loss not only to Oke-Ogun but also the entire state and Nigeria in general in view of his service, reputation and achievements.

“Until his passing on Monday, Chief Koleosho was one of the few remaining elder statesmen who paraded good democratic record as he dated the odds, in company of many others, to put an end to military rule in the 1990s. He also served humanity and the Nigerian society to the best of his ability as he was an amiable political leader, successful businessman and accomplished leader in all spheres of life.

“Undoubtedly, we will sorely miss Chief Koleosho whose death just came at a time that his wealth of experience and fatherly role would be needed even as we find solace in the good life which he lived and the enviable record he left behind. We pray God to grant him eternal rest while also pray the Almighty God to give members of his immediate family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.” APC stated.
