In his congratulatory message, SAO, an indigene of Ayete, Ibarapa, described the new minister of power as an Illustrious son of the state and said that the people of Oyo State are proud of this honour done to the state by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through his appointment.

SAO, who recently emerged as APC Diaspora chairman for DFW, Texas, United States, expressed his sincere appreciation to the President, noting that the position of cabinet minister of power is a rare privilege given to Adelabu, who, as a forthright person, will bring energy and drive to bear in the expeditious implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope.

“I congratulate my dear brother, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as he takes the oath of office today in Abuja as the new Minister of Power.

“Looking at Chief Adelabu’s track record at different times, I do not doubt that Oyo State and the nation will be proud of him as minister.

“As the Minister of Power, his duty is not to provide electricity to Nigerians, but I am sure, Adelabu would use his new office to formulate policies that, when implemented, would improve the fortunes of the power sector for all Nigerians.

“I have confidence that Adelabu will bring the patriotic zeal, dedication, resourcefulness, and innovation that he is known for to his new assignment,” SAO stated.

SAO thereafter urged the minister to be focused and not distracted while looking into the issues of policymaking and policy implementation in the power sector when he resumed office, as the sector is regarded as uncoordinated and rather chaotic.
