Muraina Ajibola to empower 100 Ibarapa youths through vocational skills training

In yet another demonstration of his enduring commitment to grassroots development, former Member of the House of Representatives for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr) Muraina Ajibola Saubana, is set to empower a new batch of one hundred unemployed youths across Ibarapa through a comprehensive vocational skills training and empowerment programme.
The latest phase of the initiative, scheduled to be held later this week, will focus on practical training in vocational works, including paint production and packaging and branding techniques designed to enhance participants’ entrepreneurial capacity and prepare them for self-reliance. Beneficiaries will also receive financial start-up support to establish their own businesses, as well as mentorship on enterprise management and guidance towards obtaining Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration for their ventures.
Speaking through his desk officer, Hon. Muraina reiterated his long-standing belief in sustainable human capital development as a foundation for community peace and progress.

“How can we have a restless community when our young people are productively engaged and supported to achieve financial independence?” he asked. “When they are empowered with the right skills and opportunities, there will be no reason for idleness or social unrest. This is why we have continued to invest in training and empowerment, not for political gain, but for the betterment of our people.”

The former lawmaker further emphasised that his passion for service transcends political office, describing his empowerment programmes as a continuing tradition of giving back to society.
“We have sustained these initiatives even after leaving office,” he noted.
“Public service does not end with tenure. For me, it is a lifelong duty. That is why we are institutionalising these programmes as a periodic culture of empowerment and vocational training across our constituency. By God’s grace, more are still to come.
The three-term federal lawmaker, Dr Muraina Ajibola Saubana, represented Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North in the House of Representatives, where he chaired the House Committees on Power and Petroleum (Upstream), respectively. His record of service reflects a consistent pattern of grassroots engagement, youth empowerment, and community upliftment, values that have earned him respect across political divides in Ibarapa and beyond.
