Music House’s Fire Incident Unfortunate, Sad – Says Oyo APC Chairman

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Alhaji Olayide Abas, has lamented the Friday night fire incident which ravaged the Music House property belonging to the popular Juju gospel crooner, Dr Yinka Ayefele, describing it as sad and unfortunate.
Social media reports had it that a fire broke out in the wee hours of Friday in the building which harboured the broadcasting studios of Fresh FM, Blast FM and Tiwa-n-tiwa FM, owned by Ayefele. The property, which is located in the Challenge Area of Ibadan – the state capital – was said to have been badly affected before the fire was put out by firefighters and some good Samaritans.
In a statement issued on Saturday, which he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Alh. Abas disclosed that he received the news of the fire incident with sadness “as it happened at a time when the attention of all and sundry was on the forthcoming 10th anniversary of the revolutionary Fresh FM, Ibadan radio station.

“As much as we, at Oyo APC, sympathise with Dr Ayefele, the entire staff and fans of his broadcast and music establishments, we use this medium to express our gratitude to God Almighty, as the incident did not claim any human life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr Ayefele at this trying moment even as we are optimistic that the Music House will bounce back better in outlook and component sooner than later.” Abas added.
