My Pact With NIS, Oyo – Publicity/Social Secretary Hopeful, Surv Abeeb Adeyemo.

“Unequivocally, I’m totally convinced that ‘SURVEYORS’ are noble and integrous professionals. Throughout the ages, we, surveyors are specially treasured and highly respected, so, we remain valuable and valued.

Who is Surv. Abeeb Adeyemo?

This is your son, Surv Abeeb Kolawole Adeyemo. I studied Surveying and Geoinformatics at the Prestigious Federal School of Surveying, Oyo where I had my National Diploma(ND).

I later proceeded to The Polytechnic, Ibadan for my Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics. My passion for education took me further to Federal School of Survey, Oyo, again, and Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State, respectively to advance my professional knowledge and skills in the aforementioned course, Surveying and Geoinformatics, where I, respectively, had Professional Diploma and B.Tech in my chosen career, Surveying and Geoinformatics.

Firstly, I want to affirm and reaffirm it that I am here to contribute my own quota to the progress and development of our great Association, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors(NIS), Oyo-State branch and to sincerely sign pacts with you, sirs/mas, that I will not let you down.

Yes, I’m wholeheartedly committed to using my time and talent, thought and treasure to make our Institution more greater.

My vision is to make a difference and positively change the narratives of our Institution. Of course, ‘NIS, OYO STATE’ will definitely be repositioned with yours sincerely, Abeeb Adeyemo as Publicity/Social Secretary.

You will agree with me that surveying profession is inherently beautiful but it is our sole responsibility to, time to time, uncover its beauty. Definitely, as a team player, I will work with other executive members to inject a new lease of life to our public relations and people’s perception on our noble profession.

I will ensure a strategic communication, robust publicity and enlightenment campaigns for all NIS programmes relying on my experience, expertise and strong media contacts established over the years.

My vision is to reposition ‘NIS, OYO STATE’, to enable it gains more name and recognition among professionals, the general public, governments at the local, state, national levels and globally as well.
I am confidently saying it that this is neither a dangling carrot nor bait to get your votes but it is a strong vision borne out of sincerity of purpose and genuine passion to serve.

The social activities of members will be celebrated in grand styles, however, with the consent of the celebrants. This will be done on all our social media platforms; This will definitely foster unity, fraternity and camaraderie among members of ‘NIS, OYO STATE’.

Without fear or favour, we need to elect men of vision that can think outside the box. I am, humbly, offering myself to serve and nothing more. Moreover, as a man of his word, I will definitely protect the ‘Integrity, Valour and Valiance’ of our noble profession, Surveying. Yes, without trying to sound immodest, I have a face and a voice that I will not jeopardize but use for revolutionalisation of Institution. In a simplified and intelligible language, ‘I will work with other executive members to move the institution to greater heights.
