My Prayer Is With Our People in Igangan and Ibarapa Land, Solidarity – Dr Adebayo Adams.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo-State, Dr Adebayo Adams has solidarised with the good people of Igangan, and entire Ibarapa Land over the recent bandits’ attacks suspected to be coordinated by the criminal elements among Fulani herdsmen in the axis.
“My heart and prayer are with our people in Igangan and Ibarapa land. It’s disheartening to see the level of damage recorded in last 24 hours, but all the perpetrators should be investigated and prosecuted”, Former Chairman, Councillors’ Forum, in the state, Adams lamented.
The successful Agropreneur, Adams prayed that, “May God Almighty put stop to bloodshed in Ibarapa land and Nigeria as whole. To the families that lost their beloved ones, properties and valuables, Almighty God will console you all.
“I wish the state Government take cognizant attention to killing in Ibarapa and other zones in Oyo-State. This is not a political statement but a real fact. The primary objective of every government is to safe lives and protect properties.
“I have advised the state government on several occasions, to help us secure this state as it used to be 9years ago.
“Our security architecture is now collapsed as we live in fear from kidnapping, herdsmen, banditry, among others.
“We must all join hands together to form a full force. This is not about being APC or PKP or any other political party card carrying member but for the betterment and progress of our darling state.
- The state government should revisit all security policies formed in 2011 to 2019. Following these policies and guidelines will ease the security threats that we are facing at the moment
- Improved welfare package for our security agencies in terms of incentives and materials. They are resourceful and always ready to work
- The state government should call stakeholders’ meeting comprises of everyone, in the state, that matters to dialogue
- Government of the day should form synergy with all the security agencies and formulate improved policies
- Citizens should always be at alert to inform our security agencies about any suspicious movement in their vicinity
“May God Almighty be for us and grant the people killed during the Igangan massacre peaceful rest. May God Almighty grant their families the fortitude to bear the huge loss”, the Oyo State House of Assembly Hopeful, come 2023, from Ibadan Northwest Constituency, Adams said.
