NANS President,”BARAMBU” Tasks FG to Support Nigerian Students As Schools Resume Nationwide
The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Comrade Usman Barambu has hinted on the need for the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide assistance to all Nigerian students who have had their time wasted for the past 8months.
Barambu stated this on a live interview today on Channels Television where he called on President Muhammad Buhari to quickly loom into three demands.
According to Barambu, the three demands are,”Waiver of school fees for a session; Financial package to help students meet up with other sheltering demands; And accommodation within the campuses/hostels should be declared free to all legitimate occupants.
Baramy further noted that these demands will form the fulcrum of his meeting with the leadership in the coming weeks as he will be doing everything in his own power to see that Nigerian students will not have to start from square one.
